But how does Invisalign® work?

The answer lies in the advanced technology behind the aligners.

The process begins with a consultation with an Invisalign provider who will determine if you are a suitable candidate for the treatment. Once the patient is deemed suitable, the provider will take digital impressions of your teeth, which are used to create a 3D model of your mouth.

The Treatment Plan

Each aligner is worn for two weeks, and they must be worn from 18 to 20 hours per day. The aligners work by exerting a gentle force on your teeth, gradually moving them into the desired position. As each set of aligners is worn, your teeth move a little bit closer to their final position.

As your teeth move, the aligners must be adjusted accordingly. This is why you need to see your Invisalign provider every six to eight weeks, who will check on your progress and give you the next set of aligners. In most cases, treatment with Invisalign lasts for between six and eighteen months, depending on the complexity of your case.

What are the benefits of using Invisalign®?

Invisalign offers a modern, convenient solution to teeth straightening without the drawbacks of traditional braces. These clear, removable aligners allow you to eat your favorite foods, engage in normal oral hygiene routines, and smile confidently without any visible brackets or wires. Moreover, with Invisalign’s advanced technology, you can view your virtual treatment plan before you start and see the final results before you even begin. They are comfortable, efficient, and provide a discrete path to a straighter smile.

Another┬áÔÇťnot-so-obviousÔÇŁ┬ábenefit is that Invisalign is a cost-effective treatment to prevent teeth from wearing down due to its precision, efficiency, and flexibility. Because the system uses advanced 3D imaging technology to design a comprehensive plan that moves your teeth into proper alignment, it also will eventually minimize wear and tear. Additionally, it eliminates the frequent adjustments and appointments often required by traditional braces, saving you time and money.
